Bitcoin exposure without pretending the wrapper is Bitcoin

Common questions

Do Bitcoin ETF shares give me bitcoin I can withdraw?

No. A retail shareholder owns exchange-traded shares, not spendable bitcoin. You cannot send ETF shares to a Bitcoin wallet or use them on the Bitcoin network.

Is the annual fee the only cost?

No. The expense ratio is deducted inside the product, while investors may also face brokerage commissions, bid/ask spread, premium or discount to NAV, account fees, and taxes.

Does a spot Bitcoin ETP remove Bitcoin price risk?

No. It is designed to provide exposure to bitcoin's price and can still lose substantial value. The wrapper changes custody and account mechanics, not the underlying volatility.
