Complete a first withdrawal

Combine wallet backup, address verification, fee review, and recordkeeping.

By the end, you should be able to:

  • Prepare the receiving wallet
  • Use address controls
  • Document the transaction

Before withdrawing, confirm the receiving wallet is backed up and can display a fresh Bitcoin address. Avoid copying addresses from untrusted messages or clipboard history.

Use an allowlist when the platform supports it, review the network and fee, and send a test amount. After receipt, compare the transaction ID on more than one reliable source if anything looks unusual.

Save the withdrawal record and note whether the exchange charged a fixed withdrawal fee or passed through a network-based estimate.
